New York City emcee Canibus has been extremely busy at the top of 2022. Just two weeks after dropping his surprise album, One Step Closer to Infinity, the legendary wordsmith has released a brand new single titled “Start Over.”

The new track is produced by veteran beatmaker Bronze Nazareth, who has crafted tracks for the Wu-Tang Clan and The Wisemen. On the single, Canibus appreciates the empathy of his fans as he details the resurgence of his career as he makes his fateful return to the mic.

The track works as the lead single to Canibus’ forthcoming studio album, The Almighty Era, coming off the heels of his 2021 albums Kaiju and One Step Closer to Infinity.

The album acts as the rapper’s “greatest hits” compilation, as it features previously released and unreleased material across 34 tracks, spanning from the years 2007 to 2015. The Mid Career Best Of features a plethora of heavy hitters including DJ Premier, Techn9ne, Erick Sermon, Kxng Crooked, Wu-Tang, Keith Murray, HRSMN, Vinnie Paz (Jedi Mind Tricks), and more and is Executive Produced by longtime Canibus cohort M-Eighty

The Almighty Era can be purchased on Canibus’ official website, caninft.com, and his new track, “Start Over,” is available for free download as well.

Canibus’ previous album, One Step Closer to Infinity, is also available on the emcee’s website for digital download, and it’s also available on all major streaming platforms.
