New York City legend, Canibus, has been quite the busy man since the release of his 2021 studio album, Kaiju, his first full-length project since 2015’s Time Flies Dies…Phoenix Rise, which earned the emcee a spot on the Billboard Rap Top 100 Charts and Itunes Charts alike. Now, the rap titan is back with a new surprise album, One Step Closer to Infinity, which is exclusively dropping to for fans on his website.

One Step Closer to Infinity is completely produced by Chicago beatmaker A-Villa, and features 10 brand new tracks with contributions from Jurrasic 5, K-Solo, Born Sun Kali Ranks, and more.

Rock the Bells got the chance to sit down with Canibus to discuss his last album, Kaiju, where the emcee opened up about his celebrity and his reasoning for being more of a recluse later in his career, focussing strictly on the music.

In rap, people like to blend your personal life with your artistic life. You should be able to put your costume on, and jump into character and get your records done,” Canibus explained.

The album is available in all physical and digital formats alongside album branded merchandise, NFTsm, and more at www.caninft.com. The project will be made available exclusively on the website at 6pm PST/ 9pm EST on Friday (January 28)  and will be available on all streaming services on February 4.
