Earlier this week, Pusha T made his long-awaited return to the mic with his new single “Diet Coke,” where the Virginia emcee delivers his signature mafioso coke rap bars over 88-Keys' chipmunk soul production. The track premiered with an Omar Jones-directed music video, where Push and Kanye West channel their inner Bad Boy, referencing Craig Mack's, “Flava in Ya Ear,” visuals.

In the video, Ye does his best Diddy impression as he imitates the music executive’s iconic dance moves, and it looks like the Bad Boy CEO appreciated the Chicago emcee paying homage. Footage of Diddy welcoming Pusha T and his manager Steven Victor to his home was posted on Instagram by Victor on Friday (February 11), while they were chatting, Puff gave Ye’s dance moves his stamp of approval.

“I loved Kanye’s dance. I fucking loved it, n-gga!” Diddy said before imitating some of the moves, much to Pusha’s delight. “You gotta fucking try! You gotta be courageous to dance!”

In the music video for Craig Mack’s 1994 hit “Flava in Ya Ear (Remix),” Diddy introduced his iconic “Diddy Bop” dance to the world, eventually becoming his signature dance seen in a multitude of music videos and performances.

Aside from praising Pusha T and Kanye West‘s new video, Diddy is also working on new music himself.  In July 2021, Puff announced that his new album, Off The Grid Vol. 1, would be arriving in September, marking the start of his “Love” era.

“A historical moment having @diddy pull up to the legendary Can-Am Studios, now @nonamestudios, not to mentioned this classic R&B album that I’m grateful to be a part of #OffTheGrid #MixedByAli #NoName @sd__engineears,” MixedByAli wrote.
