Eminem is no stranger to creating and breaking records. He’s set the record for the most albums with 1 billion streams on Spotify and his discography represents more than 21 billion streams on the platform. Em has now made history in the U.K., as his greatest hits compilation Curtain Call: The Hits celebrates 500 weeks on the U.K. album charts making it the first Hip Hop album to do so. According to Forbes, Curtain Call: The Hits doesn’t just rank in the 100 most popular full-length albums in the U.K., It stands as “One of the biggest at #15 which is an incredible position for a title that has charted this long.”

Released in 2005, the compilation debuted at #1 on the U.K. album chart and spent two months in the top 10. After falling from the top 10 it has remained in the top 50 for half of the 500 weeks that it has been on the charts.

Em has earned 10 number 1 albums in the U.K., including Curtain Call: The Hits and only his debut The Slim Shady LP missed number 1, making it to number 10. Other albums have spent 500 or more weeks on the U.K. album charts, but less than a dozen have done so, and none of them were Hip Hop albums. Rumors by Fleetwood Mac, Darkside of The Moon by Pink Floyd, Abba’s Gold and Queen’s Greatest Hits have all spent at least 500 weeks on the U.K. album chart.
