JAY-Z hopped on Alicia Keys’ Twitter Spaces room on Tuesday night (December 21), to chat about the music industry. When the topic of whether Hov would ever hop in the Verzuz ring came up, the Brooklyn emcee claimed nobody has the catalog to keep up with him in the infamous rap battle competition.

Rap fans took to the internet to debate who would be a worthy opponent to face off against JAY in a Verzuz, theorizing hip-hop giants like Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and more. One fan even mentioned Eminem might be a good challenger, but not many agreed with that.

"I've seen some bogus names listed as ppl that can beat Jay-Z in a VERZUZ . Dude just said Eminem," tweeted one person, who clearly did not agree with the proposed battle.

While there are many people who disagree that Eminem would make a fair challenger for Hov, a similar number of folks are saying that they wouldn't mind seeing the battle take place.

Twitter went ablaze Tuesday morning as plenty with potential Hov opponent suggestions. Who do you think is a worthy opponent for JAY-Z in a Verzuz?
