A weekend fire at J.J. Fad member Sassy C's home has destroyed her home and all of her belongings. The group's social media pages announced the fire, which occurred on Sunday (1/15).

"This is Sassy C's house, our sister from JJ Fad," the caption read. "She has lost everything in this fire. Please help if you can, your generosity is very appreciated."

A video clip attached to the post showed a raging blaze that consumed the entire home. No one was harmed in the blaze, but the family lost two dogs who were trapped in the basement of the home. According to Susquehanna Hose Company, three engines and 15 volunteers responded to the second alarm fire, and the Maryland State Fire Marshal was requested to investigate the cause. A gofundme has been set up to assist Sassy C and her family.

J.J. Fad, the first female rap group signed to Eazy E's Ruthless Records, was celebrated last summer with a street named in their honor. "J.J. Fad Way" is now a street in Rialto, California.

"To be honores in your own city is the ultimate blessing," MC JB said in a statement to HipHopDx. "We are honored and humbled to have received this street-naming by the city that raised us." The group's hit, "Supersonic" has been enjoying a resurgence recently, and last year they joined Kid N Play, Naughty By Nature, Snap, and Ceelo Green for Boombox, a 90s Hip-Hop themed residency in Las Vegas.
