Pusha T fueled speculation last week that he was exiting Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music. The V.A. Beach M.C. Tweeted a picture of his contract release along with the message “Some people call you their brother, other people show you you’re BROTHERS. Thanks, Yezos.” Yezos is a combination of Amazon CEO Jeff Bezo’s last name and Kanye’s. Pusha signed with G.O.O.D. Music in 2010 and 6 years later he was appointed President of the label.

In 2020 King Push announced that he wanted to give more exposure to artists in Virginia via his independent label Heir Wave Music. The announcement of his new label caused speculation that he and Kanye would soon part ways. In a recent Drink Champs episode Big Sean confirmed rumors that he was leaving G.O.O.D. Music as well stating: “Business wise, I had to start getting a bigger cut! I worked my way out that deal.”

Steven Victor, Pusha T’s manager recently spoke to Complex casting some doubt as to whether Push is really done with G.O.O.D. Music According to Victor “He’s still with G.O.O.D. Music, he’s just not signed to Def Jam anymore. I mean we might re-sign with Def Jam, the whole point of it is he’s still with Kanye regardless to wherever he ends up with his next projects.” Victor stated further “He has fulfilled his contract with Def Jam, the next project may be with Def Jam, it may be with someone else.” Pusha T promised recently that his next album It’s Not Dry Yet (INDY) will be the best of the year.
