Prosecutors allege that at least three witnesses say that Ronald "Tinard" Washington was the man that they saw shoot Tupac associate Randy "Stretch" Walker in 1995 in Queens while attempting to shoot Walker's brother Christopher "Majesty" Walker.

Washington is also a suspect in the 2002 murder of Run-D.M.C. DJ Jam Master Jay, birth name Jason Mizell. According to the prosecution, they identified a person who was in the car with Washington when the shooting occurred, but this person would have to plead the Fifth Amendment in order to testify. Washington has been rumored to be Walker's killer since the early 2000s but has never been charged.

Ronald Washington and Karl "Little D" Jordan remain in federal custody for the murder of Jam Master Jay over an alleged disagreement centered around a 10 kilo cocaine transaction. Prosecutors claim that Mizell threatened to cut Washington out of the deal three months before his murder and that Walker had a long-running feud with the Young Guns, a crew that traveled in the same circles as Stretches brother Majesty. Washington is reportedly affiliated with the Hollis Junior Crew, a rival of the Young Guns. Majesty and Stretch were members of a rap group known as the Live Squad. After his Stretch’s death, Majesty started Grand Imperial Records with E-Money Bags, who was shot and killed in 2001.

According to court records the trial is scheduled for February 2023.
