For rap superstar Lecrae, embracing the journey, with all of its twists and turns, is the essence of growth. That’s who he is. That’s Hip-Hop.

Hip-Hop’s rise didn’t come easily. And it didn’t involve one path. Hip-Hop has always been about climbing, fighting, and moving forward in spite of what life puts in your way. When Lecrae discusses Peace Preparatory Academy, which was launched in 2015 by founder Benjamin Wills, it's obvious how seriously he takes his role in the culture as he takes viewers on a tour. "It's a school that literally is changing the city of Atlanta, single-handedly," he explains. "It's an amazing school in a community that people would say is historically pretty rough. But this school and the people within it are literally changing the whole narrative."

And Lecrae sat down at the legendary Beautiful restaurant and shared the history of the legendary Atlanta eatery. The Beautiful was founded by Rev. James Robert Chambers in 1979 with the goal of providing jobs for members of The Perfect Church. When Rev. Chambers died in 1989, Pastor Ronald D. Williams took over the famed restaurant and church.

"We, I feel, have been a blessing to the community and the community has been a blessing to us," explained Pastor Williams.
