Hitmaking producer Metro Boomin and his family have experienced an unspeakable tragedy. According to reports, the producer's mother, Leslie Joanne Wayne, was killed Friday night (June 4) in what appears to be a murder suicide. It appears that Wayne was murdered by her husband who then killed himself.

Wayne's husband was not Metro Boomin's father.

An autopsy will be conducted for an official cause of death. Metro's rep confirmed to TMZ that his mother died this weekend; while sharing that the family request privacy during this difficult time.

Metro, born Leland Tyler Wayne, and his mother were very close. She famously drove the then-aspiring producer to Atlanta from their native St. Louis when he was still a teenager so that he could land production credits on projects by artists like OJ Da Juiceman. He often posted photos and videos of and for his mother on social media.
