Nicki Minaj recently sat down with Joe Budden for an interview and the two NYC rappers touched on the legacy of an icon. As Nicki was making a point about how she feels she hasn't been given her respect by media and fashion influencers, she also acknowledged that her longtime rival Lil Kim deserves to be exalted, as well.

"The way that I feel that I should've been on the cover of American VOGUE, so should Lil Kim," Minaj tells Budden in the clip. "If we bein' all the way 1000."

"If this is what your magazine represents: influence" Nicki continued, with Joe adding, "How can you not?"

Kim and Nicki's bad blood made for headlines for years; but Nicki makes it clear in the interview that she has respect for Kim's legacy.

"If we bein' honest," Nicki said. "Because whenever...myself or Lil Kim goes on the internet, we see our influence. So I'm not gonna say it's about me only and not give that woman her just due about what she did."
