Snoop Dogg has released his nineteenth studio album, BODR aka Bacc On Death Row. The highly-anticipated project drops just days prior to Snoop taking the stage alongside Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. And the album also comes alongside the news that Snoop has purchased Death Row Records, the label that launched his career.
BODR features a bevy of high-profile guests, including Nas, T.I., Sleepy Brown, Uncle Murder, DaBaby and The Game. There's even a posthumous Nate Dogg appearance on "Outside The Box."
BODR is also available as Snoop's first NFT. Snoop launched his Bacc On Death Row NFT project with the blockchain gaming company Gala Games, which includes the album. The NFT has been released as a one-of-a-kind digital “Stash Box” and is available for purchase via Gala Games.
“If anything is constant, it’s that the music industry will always be changing,” Snoop Dogg said in part. “Blockchain tech has the power to change everything again and tip the table in favor of the artists and the fans, and we’re going to be right at the front of the pack with this Gala Music deal.”
Only 25,000 Snoop Stash Boxes, priced at $5,000 each, exist. There are a total of 1,470 NFTs of each song and each Stash Box will include one of the 17 track NFT tracks from Snoop Dogg’sB.O.D.R. album.
