Singer Traci Braxton, who appeared on the hit reality show "Braxton Family Values" alongside her famous sisters, has died at age 50. Her family and the show's network confirmed the news. No immediate cause of death has been officially released, but the family confirmed that Braxton had been battling cancer.

“We have come to a time where we must inform the public that after a year of privately undergoing a series of treatment for Esophageal cancer our beloved Traci Braxton has gone on to glory,” her husband Kevin Surratt said in a statement to NBC News.

"She was a bright light, a wonderful daughter, an amazing sister, a loving mother, wife, grandmother and a respected performer," Traci's Grammy-winning sister Toni Braxton posted on Instagram. "We will miss her dearly.

"Traci passed this morning as the snow was falling, our angel is now a snowflake."

Traci released the solo album Crash & Burn in 2014, along with the single, "Last Call."

"Traci Braxton has been in the lives of TV viewers for years and will always be part of the WE tv family. Gone far too soon, we celebrate her life and memory and send our heartfelt condolences to the entire Braxton family during this difficult time. Her light and spirit live on," WE tv said on Saturday.
