Triller and Verzuz have officially announced their first show of the year in the form of a Valentine’s Day Special featuring neo-soul legends Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild. The R&B stars will face off live from Avalon Hollywood on Tuesday, February 15. 

The Anthony Hamilton and Musiq Soulchild Verzuz battle is the first show of season 3. The entire show will be available to stream via Triller, Fite, and Verzuz social media profiles on Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube. Tickets for the live show are available at the official Verzuz website. 

The two R&B giants dominated the neo-soul sound in the early to mid-2000s, putting out classic albums like Hamilton’s Comin’ Where I’m From and Musiq’s Aijuswanaseing. Hamilton released his seventh studio album, Love Is the New Black, in 2021. Soulchild's Feel The Real, his eighth project, was released in 2017 and received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.

The show will begin with a DJ battle, competing for $1 million and the position as house DJ for all Verzuz competitions around the country. 

The second season of Verzuz ended in December with a battle between Bone Thugz-N-Harmony and. Three 6 Mafia. Other notable episodes from the year include Big Daddy Kane vs. KRS-One, Earth, Wind & Fire vs The Isley Brothers, Raekwon vs Ghostface, and the instantly iconic matchup of The Lox vs. Dipset
