ROCK THE BELLS radio is set to kick off All City Day: Philly on Saturday, Jan. 28. The day-long celebration of all things Philly Hip-Hop will spotlight artists, DJs, and cultural influencers from all over the city.

Inextricably tied to the city's deep soul roots courtesy of legendary acts like Gamble and Huff, Philly's unique Hip-Hop history has long been influential, with everyone from DJ Jazzy Jeff and Freeway, to Bahamadia, Eve, The Roots, and more making a lasting imprint on the genre.

“It’s people in Philly that’s hard but they just ain’t getting their look,” Philly MC Beanie Sigel told XXL in 2016. “So when I got on, I made it a point I wanted every part of my city [to come with me]. I was from South Philly, I found the hot nigga from North Philly, from Southwest, from West Philly. State Property covered Philadelphia as a whole. I had dudes in South Philly mad at me. But I seen the bigger picture. Y’all looking at the frame. We Philadelphia, we got history behind us beside the music.”

Hear music and commentary from Philly artists and one-hour Philly mixes from Cosmo Baker, DJ Cash Money, DJ No Phrillz, DJ Epps, and DJ Scratch. Tune in Saturday (1/28) from 9aET-Midnight. Listen on the SXM App by searching "All City Day Philly."
