Veteran mixtape Dj and Power 105.1 personality DJ Clue believes lyricism in rap music could be a lot better. The Desert Storm DJ recently tweeted: "A lot of these records would be a lot better if these rappers took a pen and pad and wrote their raps down."

Many users agreed, with one referring to the current era as "the stupidity era."

"It needs to be well thought out and not just saying anything. Some of these songs be A, B, C and awful," he said.

Clue has his own radio program "Desert Storm Radio" that airs Monday-Friday 6pm-10pm on Power 105.1 in New York, and has worked at New York's Hot 97. He is the CEO of Desert Storm Records and released a series of recordings titled The Professional on Roc-A-Fella Records in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
