Huffington Post Calls Killer Mike "More Politically Dangerous Than Kanye West"

Killer Mike is no stranger to political action, and stating his opinion about candidates for public office. When he penned a first person essay about systemic racism for Rock The Bells, he stated, "Blacks weren’t given shit, Blacks had to work. Then when they got it they formed their own communities as they weren’t allowed in the larger community because of segregation. But because of that, the dollar turned more times in their own community and so they were able to build banks, stores, schools, churches. But as always in those times, it didn’t sit well with poor working class whites."

His home state of Georgia is proving to be a critical piece for both Democrats and Republicans — specifically the senate and gubernatorial races — which pits Revered Raphael Warnock versus Herschel Walker, and Governor Brian Kemp versus Stacey Abrams.

Stephen A. Crockett Jr., an opinion editor for Huffington Post, recently wrote of Killer Mike's willingness to speak to both Kemp and Walker that, "It’s disconcerting to watch a loquacious Black man with a platform prop up someone who wants to undo all the good work of the civil rights leaders before him. That is way more perilous than anything Ye could do."

He further added, "So it was utterly bizarre AF for Killer Mike to meet with the enemy of the Black vote. This was Papa Smurf meeting up with Gargamel. This was an Avenger having a sit-down with Thanos. This was anyone trying to make Jeffery Dahmer their internet boyfriend after watching that Netflix show."

While any and all criticism of political involvement warrants examination, the inclusion of Kanye West (now just called Ye) seems particularly ill-timed given his recent tirades that focus on anti-semitic ideals.
